“Raised as a hearing child of deaf parents I think about music through gestures.

To address problems emerging from the use of a text, I turn to the language of gestures; this is a language of the brain and of space.

My compositions always deal with the powerlessness to speak, extending it to all levels of communication; it is only about there not being real communication.

The visual beauty of gestural language does not correspond to the content of texts and does not know their nuances.

In my work I change the levels of identity – none of the performers are sure to feel safe.”
